This is a short video my friend and colleague Keir Cutler made, looking not just at the issue of whether or not William Shakespeare wrote the works of Shakespeare, but whether looking into this question is a legitimate subject for academic inquiry. Many famous people believe(d) it is, including Mark Twain (who wrote a book on the subject titled Is Shakespeare Dead?)(which Keir adapted into a one man show)(you can watch it in its entirety on google videos), Malcolm X, Orson Welles and John Gielgud.
