Marco V Morelli
Marco V Morelli is a poet, thinker, (r)evolutionary, mystic, and lover — in no particular order, other than aesthetic. Born in New York to immigrant parents from El Salvador and Italy, he grew up in the Long Island suburbs. His first literary love in high school was the Beats. In college, he fell in love with philosophy, especially Nietzsche and Heidegger, and began practicing Zen meditation. After graduating, he traveled and volunteered in Central America, writing a book of translations of Nicaraguan poetry.
In 2001, in a Half Price Books in San Antonio, Texas, he found a little volume by Ken Wilber called A Brief History of Everything, which changed, well, everything . . . Marco moved to Boulder, Colorado, in 2003 and worked for Integral Institute from 2003 to 2007, where he co-authored, with Ken Wilber, Terry Patten, and Adam B. Leonard, the book Integral Life Practice: A 21-Century Blueprint for Physical Health, Emotional Balance, Mental Clarity, and Spiritual Awakening.
Married, with a young daughter, and a “pack leader” to two small dogs, Marco is currently at work on a new book with Terry Patten called The Integral Revolution: The Future of Consciousness, Culture, and Society in the Planetary Age.
